Chandler Park maintains an outdoor-lighted basketball court, ball fields, shelters, cookout grills, outdoor swimming pool, outdoor theater/concert area, disc golf course, and horseshoe area. Plenty of fun playground equipment with beautiful scenic views. All fields and wide-open spaces are available for rental. CHANDLER PARK SUMMER DAY CAMP (OUTDOOR CAMP)

JUNE 1, 2009—AUGUST 7, 2009

9a-4p…………………………………………………………………………………….$30/week

7a-9a (Before Care)…………………………………………………………….$10/week

4p-6p (After Care)……………………………………………………………….$10/week

The kids will swim everyday except Wednesdays.  Please have your child bring the pertinent swim gear, and toiletries.  Sunscreen is a must-have!  The Field Trips range from $5-$20 per week.  You must provide your own sack lunch.  Call for more details, 591-6053.  Spaces are limited.

EASTER EGG HUNT & OLD FASHIONED PICNIC!

This event is Free to the community and is held annually, call for specific dates 2 weeks in advance.  The hunt is separated by age group with colorful candy or toy filled eggs.  Great prizes are given, and don’t forget your camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny!  Kids will enjoy games and have a great time!  The Old Fashioned picnic is free, we ask each family bring a pre-packaged treat to share.  We will have hot dogs and drinks!  As a courtesy please call ahead so that we may have a head count.   (918)591-6053.

Park Activities:

 Home School Physical Education Program at Chandler Park 

 

Children will participate in a variety of fitness activities and games such as hiking, football, disc golf, field trips and more.  The fee is $40 per semester for 2 days a week.  Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday from 1p-3p.  We must have 9-10 children to begin this class.  Call 591-6053 for more information.

Senior Stretch Class

Stretching is one of life’s great pleasures.  Stretching is for everyone, young and old, from all walks of life.  You don’t have to be a professional athlete, or even in good shape to experience its joys and benefits.   This is a stress-free way to stay flexible, keep fit and exercise safely.  You’ll learn about the many ways that stretching can enhance your day-to-day activities, or just by making reaching up to a high shelf that little bit easier!  This class is free.  Please cal for more details!!

 

ACTING FOR BEGINNERS & AN EVENING AT THE IMPROV!!

Two classes are now forming.  The 1st class will be Tuesdays at 6p, Acting for Beginners—Audition tips, script reading, improvisational games.  Ages 10-13.

Thursdays at 6p Acting—AN EVEING AT THE IMPROV!- A fun comedy and “think on your feet” improvisational acting.  Ages 14 and up.  Join these classes for $10 per month.  Taught by Vicki Pearson!  Call 591-6053 to register today!

 

 

 

DRUM CIRCLE

HOLIDAY LIGHTS 2009 “LIGHTS ON THE HILL!”

Beginning November 27, 2009 to December 27, 2009 (Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays) from 7p-9p, this special event will have live performances by local high school, churches etc.  We will have horse and carriage rides.  On

December 5th, 2009, come out and enjoy taking pictures & having “Cookies and Milk” with Santa from 4p-6p.
